Mutual Trust Bank’s mobile app redesign focused on creating a smooth and intuitive banking experience that builds trust and convenience. The project aimed to unify the app’s design, simplify key workflows like fund transfers and KYC, and introduce personalized features. By blending modern UI with MTB’s brand values, the app delivers faster, clearer, and more accessible banking for all users.

The Mutual Trust Bank app faced challenges with inconsistent design, confusing navigation, and disconnected key processes. These issues led to user frustration, slow transactions, and a poor overall experience, especially impacting diverse user groups needing faster & clearer banking. Several pain points needed to be identified to improve usability and trust.

Users found fund transfer flows complicated with too many steps and no quick actions.

KYC process redirected users externally, lacking in-app guidance and seamless onboarding options.

Navigation was unclear, with missing features and dead ends breaking the user journey.

To create a trustworthy and user-friendly banking experience, we prioritize simplifying key flows, improving consistency, and guiding users seamlessly. We designed a clear, cohesive interface that speeds up tasks while reinforcing MTB’s brand values to make banking faster, easier, and more accessible for everyone.

Developed a streamlined transfer flow that reduced clicks from 22+ to just 9 for faster payments.

Introduced in-app KYC with guided steps and onboarding to keep users engaged within the app.

Designed a consistent, clean UI with quick access to essential features and personalized home screens.

Design Process

Research

1 Week

In the first week, we identify user pain points, analyze business needs, and assess challenges. These approaches are essential to set the stage for a more effective and improved user experience.

Ideation & Strategy

2 Week

We gather insights through interviews, competitor research, and journey mapping, then brainstorm and create wireframes while defining project challenges and user satisfaction benchmarks to guide the design process.

Style Guide & UI Planning

3 Week

We define the brand's visual identity with a style guide covering typography and color palette. At the same time, we plan for initial UI designs to ensure a consistent, modern, and user-friendly experience.

Final Testing & Refinements

4 Week

In the final phase, we validate the design through user testing, A/B tests, and feedback. These strategies help us refine the prototype to optimize usability and ensure a smooth & engaging user experience.
