We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager (Technical Marketplace Bidder) who can consistently generate and convert leads from platforms like Upwork. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in winning projects, strong English communication skills, and the ability to handle client interactions confidently.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and apply to relevant work daily on Upwork
- Research projects, clients, requirements, competitors, and market trends before bidding
- Write high-converting, personalized proposals tailored to each opportunity
- Lead initial client communication, discussions, and meetings
- Maintain and continuously optimize the Upwork profile, portfolio, and service/gig listings
- Regularly update and refine portfolio projects based on market demand, target client segments, and high-demand services
- Research relevant keywords, competitor strategies, market trends, and emerging service demands to identify new business opportunities
- Maintain a consistent and strategic bidding approach based on target industries, services, and client quality
- Track proposals, responses, follow-ups, and conversion rates to continuously improve bidding performance
- Manage all marketplace communications during working hours
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Work closely with the design/business team to understand project requirements and prepare accurate, compelling pitches
Requirements :
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in marketplace bidding/lead generation.
- Proven experience with Upwork bidding is mandatory.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to understand project requirements.
- Proven track record of generating $5K+ monthly revenue from marketplaces.
- Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong understanding of Upwork algorithms, bidding strategies, and client psychology.
- Ability to research opportunities and identify high-potential leads.
- Strong proposal-writing skills with a track record of converting bids into projects.
- Strong knowledge of AI tools and AI-driven workflows for lead research, proposal personalization, market analysis, and sales efficiency.
- Understanding of how AI is changing client demands, project requirements, and marketplace competition.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX, web/app design, logo, and branding is a plus.
- Comfortable discussing technical requirements with potential clients.
Work hours & Benefits:
- Weekly 6 days (Mon - Sat): 10 PM - 7 AM (Night Shift)
- Commission after probation for achieving performance targets
